Managing the security of the Panorama platform (software, infrastructure & AI)

Since 2022, I lead security engineering, product safety, and operations to secure the Panorama platform, including LLM applications, which support 1 out of 4 K-12 students in the US (25,000 schools). Doing this effectively starts with risk management and mitigation strategy, control frameworks (NIST 800-171 and SOC2 Type II), and assessment & testing. My team of 5 engineers collaborates cross-functionally with Product, Data Science, and Engineering, guiding SDLC (Secure Development Lifecycle) processes, including security reviews and offensive security.

Top highlights included spearheading AI safety (policies, adversarial testing, AWS Bedrock guardrails), as well as helping our five senior security engineers’ growth and positive impact on our security posture and culture. Also consulted with our director of information security to conduct a safe corporate acquisition (due diligence, integration, maintenance, and operations).
